ITG’s Plans for 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention

The 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention is heating up with more news daily from manufacturers and announcements from the show itself. Today we have some new information from what ITG fans can expect from the company at this year’s National.

In The Game has some big redemption plans for the National this year in Baltimore.

There will be three products able to be redeemed for exclusive cards at this year’s National: UM-11 National SuperBox, Broad Street Boys and 2011-12 Between The Pipes.

Collectors opening a box of 2011-12 Broad Street Boys at the In The Game booth will receive a 1/1 stamped game used memorabilia card from the product.

Collectors opening a box of 2011-12 Between The Pipes will receive a special game used memorabilia card made for the National as well.

And finally, collectors opening UM-11 National SuperBoxes at the In The Game booth will receive a special 1/1 game used memorabilia card.

ITG will be ready and primed for their box breaking event and I’m sure with a few other surprises along the way.

Preview: 2011-12 ITG Broad Street Boys Hockey

Are you in love with Philadelphia Flyers hockey? Do you bleed orange and black? In The Game is coming out with the perfect product for those die hard Philly collectors with 2011-12 ITG Broad Street Boys hockey.

Sold as a single pack with 14 cards in it, it showcases all the legends that have ever laced up their skates in Philly. With 8 premium base cards and 6 inserts, a mix of game used and autograph cards, you will be able to collect some of the best players in the City of Brotherly Love’s history.

You will be able to find everything you would normally find from an ITG product as far as the hits go. Game used jerseys, patches, sticks, and autographs fill out the checklist. With current players like Jaromir Jagr and Claude Giroux, to legends like Ron Hextall and Eric Lindros. This product doesn’t look to disappoint those passionate Flyers collectors.

Only 4,000 packs/boxes are being created, so make sure you get your order in now as they are already sold out from the distributors and get ready for the release of this product on June 29, 2012.

Preview: 2011-12 ITG Captain-C Hockey

ITG has come out with another new hockey trading card product this year featuring those are their team’s fearless leaders. ITG Captain-C features those which have that coveted “C” stitched onto the front of their sweaters. And coming on March 29th, 2012, these leaders on and off the ice will be immortalized in trading card glory.

Each box of Captain-C will contain 10 cards. 5 of these cards will be the “base” cards featuring players from a 100 card checklist who donned the “C”. The other five cards will be a mix of autographs and game used memorabilia cards from players like Dave Keon, Roberto Luongo, Bobby Clarke, and Jean Beliveau.

Like ITG Enforcers, this product will be limited so get your hands on it early. A full checklist for autographs and base cards can be found on the official ITG website here. And I have to say the checklist looks pretty good with a ton of great players from today and the past in the set.

I commend Dr. Price for trying something else new with his products and this looks like a great product to open. And at $88, it’s not priced terribly high either.

Preview: 2011-12 ITG Enforcers Hockey

Who is your favorite hockey enforcer of all-time? My personal favorite would have to be Tie Domi of the Toronto Maple Leafs. His antics on and off the ice are that of a legend. Who else would knock someone out for calling him “Tie Dummy” on the ice?

Well I don’t know if Tie Domi will be in this set (I do now! And he’s in!), but when ITG Enforcers hockey comes out on January 19th, 2012, you will find a ton of the all-time great enforcers of the NHL. Players like Donald Brashear, Marty McSorely, or Tiger Williams will be featured in this set of pure brawn.

Each box of 2011-12 Enforcers hockey will feature 5 autographs of your favorite fighters. I wonder how they can sign their names with such fists of steel, but somehow Dr. Price got it done. You can also find 2 memorabilia cards per box as well featuring insert sets like Instigator, Combatants (dual), Fight Strap (#d/8), Fight Strap (1/1), and Tough Franchise (quad).

There will also be 5 limited base cards in each box with subsets like Record Holders, Tale of the Tape, Bloody Battles, and Tough Franchise.

There will only be 12 cards per box of this powerful product that packs a punch to the parietal.

All alliteration aside, this product will come with a limited run and only sent to those distributors who pre-order the product, so make sure your local shop knows you want to grab this product, pull it’s sweater over it’s head, and unleash a series of uppercuts.

And I have to say, I love the design with the drops of blood on the borders of the card and the autographs over the band-aids. Very nice touch.

For more information you can visit the ITG blog where it has a ton of info. Want the autographed and game used checklist?
