Snow Stormin’ Contest

Well I need to batten down the hatches for this snow storm that is going on right now and will last until tomorrow. Our once a year Oregon snow storm is usually a huge deal and since I live at around 1,000 feet, I’m going to get it pretty good. So I’m giving away stuff. Solid reasoning? I think so.

While I still have to do a “Review Deus” of 2011-12 Upper Deck Series I hockey and show what I got and talk more about that fun product, the snow coming down means I got stuff to do. So I’m leaving it up to you guys to provide your own fun, in contest form.

I’m giving away some cards from the Upper Deck reviews.

Here’s what we will do. Read the reviews of 2011 UD University of Oklahoma, 2011 UD University of Texas, and 2011-12 UD SP Authentic basketball and even the mini break of 2011 UD SPGU soccer if you’re feeling lucky. Tell me something positive or negative any of the reviews. For each product you tell me your opinion about, you will get one entry. So you get a total of 4 entries. The winner will receive a prize pack of SP Authentic basketball cards and a few hits from the reviews/mini breaks, including the UD Series I to come.

Oh, and I’ll be looking for big University of Texas and University of Oklahoma football fans to give away a full or mostly full set of each product. I’ll need some sort of proof but that will be an ongoing thing not decided when these are.

2011 Christmas Giveaway Winners Announced

Santa Claus Is Here With a Christmas Giveaway!

Ho, ho, ho!

It’s the holiday season. (The holiday season.) And that means I am feeling extra generous. But you need to act quickly as my generosity will only last until Christmas Eve, before I turn back into a vile one, a Mr. Grinch.

I have a number of cards sitting here. I want to give them away to a few of my readers here. So here’s the details:

I’m going to randomly choose 5 people with the mighty randomizer. I am going to have 5 prizes. The first person will pick a number that corresponds to a certain prize. The next person will have the option of stealing that prize or picking a new prize. If you steal a prize, you are locked in to that prize and the person you stole from picks again. If you pick a new prize, that has the possibility of being stolen. Ever see that episode of “The Office” where Michael decides to play “Yankee Swap” with the Secret Santa gifts? This is sort of the same thing.

Sports Card Blog – Panini NFL Player of the Day Final Standings

Well, the promotion has come to an end. It was a great 11 weeks with each and every one of you. I am thankful that I got to give away a ton of great and unique prizes to several people.

The first business to handle is the winner of the special Thanksgiving edition contest for the games on Thanksgiving. It was a hard fought contest with some close scores but here is that leaderboard:

With a slim two point win over Evan….Edwin G.! Evan had a great charge this week but just came up short by the slimmest of margins. I don’t know what I would have done if this was tied for the month!

And finally, the grand prize winner, who almost lost it all after missing the Thanksgiving contest is obviously Michael G. He has put together a great overall promotion scores and deserves the win. With RJ R. and Edwin G. close by on several occasions, he has fended them off to victory.
