Sports Card Blog – Panini NFL Player of the Day Week 7 Winner

Well it’s that time again to announce this week’s winner as well as the winner for the month of October! This weekend I promised big points that would be able to get anyone back into the game and boy did it deliver. It delivered more points then I thought imaginable, so good work to all you fantasy football gurus out there.

The winner for this week was Jay R. (two weeks in a row!) with a score of a whopping 34 points!

Sadly, I didn’t get an entry from KJ this week so that means that Jay R. took the lead for the month of October and also won the monthly prize of the Jordan Todman autograph 5×7 and the box of 2011 Panini NFL Stickers with sticker book! Craziness I tell you.

Here are the week’s standings. The full leaderboard will be updated soon.

Jay R. – 34
RJ R. – 31
Madison V. – 29
Weirdmaniac – 27
Michael G. – 25
Shane K. – 25
Matt G. – 22
Harley E. – 21
Edwin G. – 21
Chris G. – 19

Will there be another big point weekend by the time the promotion is through? We will see.

Sports Card Blog – Panini NFL Player of the Day Contest Week 7

Week 7 is here and that means we are at the end of the October monthly! Who will take home the monthly prize of Panini NFL Stickers and a Jordan Todman autographed 5×7? Who will lead the leaderboards for the Panini Black Box? This contest may change the landscape of everything.

Presenting the Week 7 Fantasy Football Challenge!

I will choose a group of positions and your job is to fill those positions with the players that you think will score the most points. Everyone you choose will get points as long as they perform in their games this week. Points will be given by the following.

QB: (1 Pt. per 50 yards passing; 1 Pt. per TD)

RB: (1 Pt. per 20 yards rushing; 1 Pt. per TD)

WR: (1 Pt. per 20 yards receiving; 1 Pt. per TD)

TE: (1 Pt. per 20 yards receiving; 1 Pt. per TD)

K: (1 Pt. per Extra Point; 1 Pt. per FG)

TEAM DEF: (1 Pt. per INT; 1 Pt. per Sack)

So there is the possibility for many points this time around if the right players are chosen. You get to pick 1 player per spot, anyone in the league you want.

Winner of the week takes home the final Wincraft pennant that Michael G. graciously gave back since he felt bad for winning that and the auto-helmet.

Go do your research and make your picks. This week is a game-changer! And make sure you visit the official NFL Player of the Day website!

Sports Card Blog – Panini NFL Player of the Day Week 6 Winner

Well, this was a harder contest then I had envisioned. I’ll start with Thomas Jones, the Kansas City depth chart had him listed as their number one when I decided to design this contest. I had no idea that was changed, so I apologize for that. I thought this would be something that everyone would get some points in, but that definitely wasn’t the case as points were hard to come by. I’ll think of something better for you guys next week in our October finale.

Anyway, congratulations goes out to Jay R. who barely beat KJ L. who was once again near the top of leaderboards. Jay R. will receive a giant Matt Cassel bobblehead for his in depth knowledge and premier guessing skills of the Kansas City Chiefs game yesterday. Who thought that Oakland would roll over and not put a point on the board?

Here are this week’s standings. The leaderboard page will be updated soon.

Jay R. – 8 (Winner!)
KJ L. – 7
Michael G. – 4
Shane K. – 4
Weirdmaniac – 3
RJ R. – 3
Madison V. – 2
Edwin G. – 2
Matt G. – 1
Nick L. – 0

So yeah, pretty low scoring week.

But I will make up for that. Expect the possibilities for BIG points next week in a fantasy football style challenge requested by Matt G. This will be the opportunity for EVERYONE to get back into the game. Stay tuned!

Sports Card Blog – Panini NFL Player of the Day Contest Week 6

Week 6 is here which means we are over halfway through the entire promotion. If you check out the current leaderboard tab at the top of the page, you can see where you stand in the race for the October prizes and the race for the ultimate prize, a Panini Black Box. KJ has been closing in on Michael G over the past few weeks while plenty of others are still in contention.

This week is our first NFL team theme week with a series of guesses about one NFL team with the prize being from that NFL team. This week’s theme is…the Kansas City Chiefs. How much do you know about the Kansas City Chiefs that will translate to points this week?

The prize? A giant Matt Cassell bobblehead.

Points will be scored this week in numerous ways so make accurate predictions and you could have a ton of points.

How many points will the Kansas City Chiefs score this week? (2 points for bullseye, 1 point for within 4 points)

How many yards will Matt Cassell throw for this week? (4 points for bullseye, 3 points for within 15, 2 points for within 25, 1 point for within 50)

How many yards will Thomas Jones run for this week? (4 points for bullseye, 3 points for within 10, 2 points for within 20, 1 point for within 30)

How many yards will Dwayne Bowe receive for this week? (4 points for bullseye, 3 points for within 10, 2 points for within 20, 1 point for within 30)

How many field goals will Ryan Succop kick this week? (2 points for bullseye, 1 point for within 1)

How many tackles for Derrick Johnson this week? (3 points for bullseye, 2 points for within 2, 1 point for within 4)

How many points will the Chiefs give up this week? (2 points for bullseye, 1 point for within 5 points)

Tie-Breaker: How many pass attempts will Matt Cassell have in this game?

As stated, the winner will receive a nice big Matt Cassell bobblehead. Seriously, the thing is like a foot tall or more and the head is ginormous.

Please make your picks in the comments section and good luck! I’m not sure if this will be a tough one or not…and make sure you click on the links to the official NFL Player of the Day website to learn more about the promotion and so Panini knows you are interested in this promotion!

Sports Card Blog – Panini NFL Player of the Day Week 5 Winner

Week 5 was full of a ton of points for just about everyone involved so it was a good week for your chance to get back into things for the month and for the overall contest. With all the points, there will definitely be some moving around on the overall leaderboard.

But here are the Week 5 standings:

KJ L. – 13

Madison V. – 12

Michael G. – 11

Matt G. – 11

Eric S. – 10

Harley E. – 9

Shane K. – 9

Jay R. – 9

Edwin G. – 8

RJ R. – 7

Weirdmaniac – 7

I believe that makes two weeks in a row for KJ? Wow, congratulations once again for the win and our first two-time weekly winner. I thought this would be kind of difficult but there were a lot of big time numbers this week so it looks like I have to make things harder next weekend. I already have next week planned out with a little bit of a theme week featuring one NFL team and the prize will be a player on that featured NFL team as well.

The leaderboards will be updated later, so a big congrats again to KJ and make sure you check the updated leaderboards tomorrow and make sure you visit the official NFL Player of the Day website for more information!
