2012 Panini NFL Player of the Day Contest – Week 6

First, we would like to formally congratulate Matt W. for winning Week 5 of the Panini NFL Player of the Day contest here on Sports Card Blog. He netted some sweet swag for the victory, including a Panini limited sets from various events and some packs to go along with it. Everyone else who beat me or got in on the bonus entry has been entered for the grand prizes, which I scored a great score this week of 9, beating everyone but two of you. Especially good work to those two.

Oh, and we had some bonus cards to go out as well. The randomizer chose… TKDkid for the autographed card!

The contest ends with week 9, so we are getting close to the end!

But now, Week 6 is here.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this year’s 2012 Panini NFL Player of the Day promotion courtesy of the wonderful people at Panini and Sports Card Blog. So you may not have a card shop near you or maybe you don’t have the cash to participate in this in store program…so what? You can still participate here and win some great prizes along the way.

This year’s theme is “Beat the Blogger” so we have a great contest set up for Week 5. Easy and simple to enter.

If you “Beat the Blogger” you will earn 1 entry towards one of TWO grand prizes we are giving away at the end of the promotion – an oversized Andy Dalton Private Signings autograph and a box of 2012 Panini Rookies & Stars football. There will also be a bonus as well for those who participate in the bonus at the bottom.

This week, the person with the most points will win a secret special player collectible and a couple NFL Player of the Day promo packs! I’ll tell you the player by his three initials. MJD.

This week, we are going to change it up just a little bit. Choose one of our five product reviews on 2012 NFL products via the Reviews link at the top and let me know which product you enjoy the most and a little something about the product. Just a couple of sentences. This week, I’m giving everyone the same equal opportunity to win. However, that means the only way you’ll be able to gain an entry this week is through the bonus which is two sided, as you must beat me in something and figure out the puzzle question.

Bonus: Total points during this weekend’s NFL games AND via the PaniniPOD website, what other sport does Panini run the Player of the Day promotion?

Remember to post your favorite Panini NFL product reviewed for 2012 below as well.

My official guess for total points? 576. Beat me and answer the question, get an entry.

    NFL Product: Panini Score Football
It’s a very affordable product that still has quality cards. The hits are pretty decent and the card variety is nice. A fun product to buy.

    Total Points- 575

    Other sport: Hockey, NHL

  2. Brian says:

Out of these products, I enjoy Panini Prestige the most. The column displaying the player info and the picture focused on the player provide a crisp presentation. I really like the Prestigious Picks and NFL Passport inserts because the white backgrounds really make the pictures stick out.

Total points for this weekend’s games: 468 points
Panini offers the POD program for the NHL as well as the NFL

    Thanks

  3. Steve B says:

I am a fan of the Rookies and Stars product. For the price of the product, you get alot of bang for your buck. There’s 3-4 Hits in each box, a nice selection of Rookie cards and also its not impossible to build the set. Along with Topps Chrome FB, its the other product that I buy each year.

    Panini’s other POD sport: Hockey

My total for the week: 555

  4. Patrick Pichon says:

My fav product reviewed was Panini Rookies & Stars Football. For the Bonus my guess will be 575 =) and the sport is Hockey

  5. Jacob Clark says:

I love the 2012 Panini Elite product. I’m a sucker for shiny things and Elite is my weakness. I love the foil but more than that, I love the clear cards on acetate as well as Prime Numbers.

    Bonus: 623 total points, NHL

  6. Shane.K says:

2012 Panini Prestige Football – This is a really sweet product. The relic cards that they insert here will certainly stand the test of time, due to their great style and large swatches.Great pieces to add to any collection.

Bonus – 606 total yards. NHL is the other sport for POD promo.

  7. Weirdmaniac says:

I really enjoy Score as usual. I love it because it is a great set to collect which is supposed to be what COLLECTING cards is all about. People don’t usually open up Score to try to flip the cards and sell them on ebay but rather to enjoy their time. I really love what Panini is doing with the SPs (too bad they took away the numbered cards!).

Bonus: 656 points and they also run it for Hockey

    Thanks!

  8. tkdkid1 says:

Favorite box is Panini Score Football. How can you go wrong with a nicely-designed product for $1 a pack. And at least one rookie per pack is also cool!

    Bonus:
Total points during this weekend’s NFL games: 577
What other sport does Panini run the Player of the Day promotion? NHL
