March 2012 Sports Trading Card Releases

A little late, but better then never. The March 2012 sports trading card release schedule. As always, the little rating is my excitement level over the product. And dates are subject to change.


2012 Topps Heritage Baseball – March 14, 2012 – $75 – 8/10

1963 design, today’s players. Along with some cool autographs and relics, it’s a fun set to put together for set collectors and hit lovers alike.

2012 Topps Tribute Baseball – March 9, 2012 – $315 – 9/10

A high end product with a ton of really nice on-card autographs, this could be one of the better Topps Tributes in recent memory.

2011 Panini Prime Cuts Baseball – March, 21, 2012 – $250 – 9/10

The return of the one of the most iconic baseball products put out by Donruss, Prime Cuts returns with cut signatures, Hall of Famers, and baseball icons from years past.


2011-12 Panini Preferred Basketball – March 21, 2012 – $200 – 8/10

A conglomerate of Panini products packed into one in this shortened season with only some of the nicest hit cards from all those products thrown into one.


2011 Panini Prime Signatures Football – March 21, 2012 – $60 – 8/10

A one autograph per box/pack product, Prime Signatures features some nicely signed cards from rookies and veterans that should make for a fun break.

2011 Panini Totally Certified Football – March 7, 2012 – $120 – 9/10

I loved this product in basketball so it’s only natural that I may love it in football. Autographed video trading cards make a return in this hit per pack product.

2011 Panini National Treasures Football – March 28, 2012 – $400 – 9/10

The very high end and exclusive product from Panini returns with some of the best rookie patch autographs of the season, and some of the most valuable cards.

2012 Leaf Metal Football – March 28, 2012 – $56 – 6/10

The first Andrew Luck cards of the season? Can’t complain about that. Full preview coming soon.


2011-12 Panini Contenders Hockey – March 28, 2012 – $108 – ?

2011-12 Panini Elite Hockey – March 12, 2012 – $120 – 8/10

The Elite brand comes to hockey with some sweet looking cards put out by Panini. Limited rookies, Aspirations, and limited hit cards makes this a product worth checking out.

2011-12 Upper Deck SPx Hockey – March 21, 2012 – $120 – 8/10

    I have been counting down for Totally Certified football. I dont know how I feel about the Prime Signatures product. not enough hits per box for me.
