Join Panini and the NFL in Going Pink for Breast Cancer

October is breast cancer awareness month in the United States. With breast cancer being the most common cancer affecting woman today, breast cancer awareness is extremely important. Coming from a family where breast cancer is prevalent amongst the women, it’s always been a topic of conversation at family get togethers as we find out someone else has had breast cancer.

Even only two days ago, my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer.

Join Panini and the NFL in going pink for breast cancer awareness. Throughout October, NFL players and referees will be sporting pink equipment in showing their support for breast cancer awareness.

Panini has even fashioned a 64 card set, with this year’s Gridiron Gear design, with some pink highlights showing their support for breast cancer awareness. Check out their blog for some more great images. You may even see some of these cards inserted into 2011 Gridiron Gear football.

I’m hoping Panini buys some of these pieces of apparel at NFL Auctions in order to include pieces of them into future products. The money they spend will go towards a good cause, and I think it would make great collectibles.
